ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule Announced

Every cricket fan waits for the ICC events, and now they are rooting for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. The big event is returning to India after 12 years. Indian fans can’t keep calm as they are hoping for history to repeat.

The World Cup will kick off on the 5th of October 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The defending champions, England will take on the runners-up New Zealand in the opening game of the Cricket World Cup 2023.

There will be ten warm-up games, with Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram, and Hyderabad being the hosts of these games. With the first match taking place on the 5th of October, the tournament will conclude with the Final on the 19th of November at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

Format

Broadcaster and Streaming

Back in 2015, Star Sports acquired the rights of the ICC events for the period 2015-2023. So, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will have Star Sports as the broadcasters. Disney Plus Hotstar have quoted that the 2023 World Cup will be streamed free for the users of the OTT platform and will have a reach of over five million users.

Biggest Match- India vs Pakistan

After a lot of debate and rumours, India is all set to play Pakistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on the 15th of October. The Indian team is yet to lose a game against Pakistan in the ODI World Cup. With both teams looking strong, we are set for a cracker of a game with a packed stadium. May the best team wins.
